Words cannot express my gratitude for all of the help the Douglas County Democratic Central Committee received during this historic election. Many members of the central committee, local Democrats and members of the Douglas County Democratic Women’s group put in many long hours at the office in Minden. They canvassed neighborhoods, handed out literature for local and state candidates and for Barrack Obama, our new president-elect, and worked the polls.

Elections of new central committee officers are coming in February, and it won’t be long before we’re looking at the 2010 mid-term elections. All Douglas Democrats are welcome to our monthly meetings, and we’d love to have you take part.
